LinkedIn has reported that it currently has more than 175 million users active on its professional network. Earning in excess of $228 million in revenue between April and June, the social media site has been increasingly innovating for users and marketers in recent months.
Many still view the site’s primary use as a job-hunting and career advancement tool. However, social media marketing with LinkedIn continues to increase, with over 2 million companies using the site’s Pages to appeal to new audiences.
LinkedIn has become an ideal place for marketers to share content. Interest in the social media site has spiked in 2012, and developing a presence on the platform is among the top priorities for marketers.
